Spiritual nourishment is a special concern, with a phone prayer chain and an email prayer chain.
If you are not currently receiving our email prayer list and would like to be added, please contact
Marilyn Barnes . If you would like to receive the phone prayer chain please call the church office.
Also if you have a prayer need that you would like added to the prayer list, you can call the church
office.
All Moms, including those with grown-up kids, need a place to share, laugh, talk and pray.
Please join us every Tuesday morning at 9:15 am in the 5th grade Children's Sunday school room
and at 6:00 pm on Wednesday's in the 3rd & 4th grade Sunday school room. Bring your Bible, and
join in this mission to send children to school covered by prayer. The goal of Mom's in Touch
International is to have a group praying for every school. We pray for all Sumter schools, but wish
each school to have a group of its own. If you would like to start a group, contact Sharon or email
the church office.

Benevolence
For those in the community who need a helping hand, the Food Pantry is available all year. We
also have a Benevolence program which offers financial assistance in certain situations to those
that meet the required criteria. On special occasions, such as Thanksgiving, the Benevolence
Team distributes baskets of food. When there is someone in our congregation that is ill and
unable to cook we have an Illness Care program that helps provide meals to those in need the
Bereavement team offers comfort, prayer, and assistance to those who have lost a loved one.
Joyful Hearts
Joyful Hearts is our group of those 55+ that meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 10:30 AM
for a devotion, time of fellowship and lunch.

How You Can Help
Christian Care offers many ways to reach out to others. If you are have an interest in becoming a
part of one of the Christian Care Ministries, speak with Steve & Jo Wicker, the team ministry
leaders. Ideas on how we can reach out to others is welcome.... Creativity and generosity is
encouraged.
The Food Pantry cheerfully accepts donations of packaged or canned food items, such as
canned or packaged milk, mac and cheese, canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, individual
servings of ready to eat food, and much more.
The pregnancy care center will always need donations of diapers and wipes, baby foods and
cereal, and infant supplies including clothes up to size 2.
If you need information on the activities of the Christian Care ministry, if you would like to become
a member or participate in any of the ministries, here is a list of the ministries and ministry
leaders. Check the appropriate box on your Communication Card to receive more information
